Also, you might be interested in the Al Jazeera opinion piece, In defense of Pete Seeger, American Communist, at http://america.aljazeera.com/opinions/2014/1/peet-seeger-communistpartyactivism.html.  It may surprise you.  “Inside Story” in alj.am says further, “Folk singer Pete Seeger, who popularized the song ‘We Shall Overcome’ during the civil rights era, passed away yesterday [January 27] at 94. Looking back at his legacy, where have all the protests gone?”  We believe that’s an excellent question–with many answers and no answers. What do you think?
