This British, pro-labor video is uplifting and wildly creative.  Watch it while you’re eating your Greek yogurt between grading papers. You won’t be sorry.  god, how I love words.

It is possible again.  With CCCI.

From the latest EB minutes:

“There was reluctance by some EB members to drastically reduce stipends or release time because we need to be able to attract members to leadership positions. CCFT has a number of open positions right now . . . .”

So, stipends and release time are at an all time high.  Yet, that could not attract faculty to the EB to fill the empty positions.  And, now the EB is reluctant to make cuts.  Maybe they should realize that most faculty don’t need large stipends to do union work. They need to have a union they want to be involved with.
